
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS RECAP WEEKS 5-8 2019 SEASON
Week 5 vs San Francisco 49ers
Fresh off their week 4 bye, the Seahawks traveled to San Fran in their week 5 matchup. The offense was pretty much mistake free and the defense brought their A game as the Seahawks won 21-10. Barkevious Mingo ended up getting DPOTW honors for week 5.
Week 6 vs Arizona Cardinals
Seattle traveled back home to take on the Arizona Cardinals in week 6. After getting down early in the 1st quarter. The Hawks stormed back to take a lead a halftime. The 2nd half was very one sided as the Hawks D really kicked up a notch forcing multiple Arizona turnovers. Jarran Reed was the 2nd Seahawk in a row on defense to receive POTW honors. Thanks to his 4 tackle, 4 sack, 1 FF effort.
Week 7 vs San Francisco 49ers
Riding a 2 game winning streak, the Hawks stayed home to take on the 49ers for the 2nd time this season. The game was a defensive slug fest. There wasn’t a ton of turnovers, but it was extremely difficult for both offenses to move the ball. Tyler Lockett led the way on offense catching 5 passes for 83 yards.
Week 8 vs Cincinnati Bengals
Staying home for the 3rd straight week, the Hawks hosted the Cincinnati Bengals. The game was pretty much over after the 1st Q as the Seahawks kept forcing turnovers and scoring on offense at will. Frank Clark tallied 3 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 FF, and 1 fumble recovery as he was the 3rd Seahawk in 4 weeks that has won DPOTW awards. The win did come at a cost as star WR Tyler Lockett broke his femur and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
