With the news that QB Matthew Stafford being out for 5 weeks it now appears the Detroit Lions (4-8) is over. The workhorse QB only played in 7 games this season and backup undrafted rookie QB Allen Cain is simply not good enough to carry a team for 9 games during a campaign.
The season did have some bright spots though. DT Malik Jackson has had a productive season anchoring the defensive line. However, the secondary combination of AJ Bouye and Darius Slay has been a disappointment.
So what moves do the Lions need to make to put together a playoff run in 2020? Look for them to address the offensive line, linebacking crew, and backup QB. These will be the focal points as we head towards the offseason.
